About
Ryan Glenn is a 24-year-old writer, guitarist, and producer from Denton, Texas. His musical journey began at age 16 under the mentorship of Kevin Geil of Two Tons of Steel, and since then, he has performed on iconic stages such as Gruene Hall, The Kessler Theater, and the State Fair of Texas. Ryan has shared the stage with Texas music legends including Ray Wylie Hubbard, Dale Watson, Junior Brown, Silverada, and many others.
Alongside his band, The Honky Tonk Heat, Ryan blends the timeless sounds of the late 50's and early 60's with a fresh, heartfelt modern energy that connects with audiences of all ages.
Ryan also serves as a producer and recording engineer at Cosmic Mama Studio in Royse City, Texas, where he works alongside producer and gold-certified songwriter Tim Lightyear. Together, they help artists capture honest, intentional performances through an artist-first creative process.
While best known for his work as a performer and producer, Ryan considers himself a writer first, a storyteller whose creative voice spans music, poetry, and prose. He is an independently published poet and essayist, with work that explores themes of faith, longing, and the human condition. His dedication to writing informs every aspect of his artistry, shaping his songs, stage presence, and approach to production.
Grounded in tradition yet unafraid to explore new frontiers, Ryan Glenn stands as a multidimensional artist, working to preserve honest stories for generations to come.
PRESS / REVIEWS

- NPR Music
"With his crooner vocals and Rockabilly influence, Ryan brings the best parts of the retro music scene to modern day Texas music"
- Denton County Magazine
"[Ryan's] voice is so natural, it's like Roy Orbison or something. It's a really special voice."
- John Pedigo (Producer)
